Course Objectives:

Basic Life Support:

Participants will learn how to provide basic life support, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in emergency situations.

Understanding Emergency Medical Conditions:

The course will cover recognizing and responding to common emergency medical conditions, such as heart attacks, strokes, seizures, allergic reactions, and respiratory distress.

Wound Care and Injury Management:

Participants will learn wound care techniques, including controlling bleeding, bandaging, and managing fractures or sprains before professional medical help arrives.

Choking and Airway Obstruction:

Instruction on identifying and responding to choking and airway obstruction incidents, including techniques for relieving airway blockages in adults and infants.

Emergency Scene Management:

Strategies for assessing an emergency scene, prioritizing care, and coordinating effectively with emergency medical services (EMS) will be covered.

Course Content:

Introduction to Emergency First Aid:

Understanding the importance of immediate response and the role of a first aider in emergency situations.

Basic Life Support (BLS):

Techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), clearing airway obstructions, and using an AED in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.

Medical Emergencies:

Recognizing and responding to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, diabetic emergencies, and allergic reactions.

Trauma and Injury Management:

Assessing and managing injuries including wounds, bleeding, fractures, sprains, and strains until professional medical help arrives.

Choking and Airway Obstruction:

Identifying and providing immediate care for choking victims.

Emergency Scene Management:

Proper assessment of emergency scenes, prioritization of care, and effective communication with emergency services.


The course is typically conducted over a period of 8 hour class, including theoretical lessons, practical demonstrations, and hands-on practice.
